Harvest

its been hot these days. i mean, extremely hot we have to take off all of our clothes during the day :3
and today, we were surprised by starfruit tree in front of our house. it fruits!!!
so we grab our basket, and merrily harvest the lovely tree. la..la..la... and apparently, the hose next to us is also harvesting! looking at them who's not really amused as much as we do, we assume they already have their harvest for many times. and their fruits are actually bigger!
but we're happy coz it's the first time (after 3months we moved here). the taste is really similar with the ones at the supermarket. its watery and sweet. and it's gone to a better place now *pat our stomach*

wait a minute!!! it means i'm finished with the SEVEN : Draw Your Days challenge.
i will be compile these 7pages, and make it as another zine! yay!

starting today, i join the 3rd annual SEVEN : Draw Your Days. obviously drawing anything happen (or didn't happen) during a week. it's fun, and no pressuring at all! triggered by Tita Larasati, a well-known illustrator and a tutor in the country which consistently drew her daily journal and gave birth 3 great graphic novels. i'm such a fan! check out her blog and go aww.

anyways, this is what happen today.

guess what! today i had my rheumatism all day!!! means, i'm an adult now! yay! was pretty collosal, but won't ruin the rest of the day.
at these hour (as usual) hubby successfully raced me down on sleeping early, while i'm still tuned on hell's kitchen (or whatever on) till finally feel sleepy (approximation : 20minutes) and crawl down under the blanket :3

life is a hole of choice. but for people, there is A moment where they have to face the biggest choice, that will set the fate. whatever your answer will be, the one questioning you will see, judge and soon will make a decision about describing who you are.

and i'm lucky enough to face that moment. i know i'm letting them down by skipping a great chance, and i'm choosing my own path, instead.

i'm not really that smart person, so it was a hardest decision so far :3

i feel bad. i felt bad. but i guess, not taking chance for a good reason is not a pussy. it avoids a bigger wreck.

ANYWAYS, during my difficult period, i made this for the next BRAngerous exhibition which is... NEXT WEEK!

with all those crazy gigs for the last 2 months, I think i deserve my weekend back. doing nothing but stay in bed, watching tv while made up some new sketches that i secretly scanned and finish during office hour. :P

but i'm glad. for those opportunities. i'm pretty sure those kinda thing won't come twice.

next sunday i'll be doing something i'd never imagine before. and of course i cannot tell you, yet. but you will soon find out, say... on wednesday.

last week was probably not the best week of my life. with all of those unpleasant surprises (like work thing and cat loss), it doesn't mean that there were no good things. But i still get to choose to (i mean, i have to!) sort only the good thing ONLY in my head. so it won't ruin the rest of my whole life.

last saturday, i was invited to share experiences and discuss about Design and Business Management at one local independent community, C2O Library. it did sound lil bit scary at first. but we always had an opinion about everything, right. so i gave it a shot. and it was fun! meeting new people with different perspective. plus, it's a great place also. really homey, and i enjoy being there. here is the report.

i was actually feeling better on sunday, we just need to do some errand and drop by to brother's house and playing along with lil chimp, Zia.

and today. i woke up really down and heavyhearted. lack of sleep, and not willing to step down from my bed. but i made it anyway. a friend came to my desk and drop this!

and just after lunch, i walk to a convenient store nearby, and saw these!!!! a cutesy The Dog Kids artist collection lighter, with miniature dog floats whereabouts. there are golden rets, king charles, many more. and i can't choose between these two. so i bought 'em all. :3

last week i felt like Christmas came early! one beautiful package from my hearth-throb illustration, miss Gemma Correll. Just take a peek on her website and aww yourself. Actually I've ordered for one single item, but she send me a lot of these instead!

one more pretty things sent to me, a fabulous tumbler from Kopi Keliling. Kopi Keliling is one hip collaborative art project event in jakarta. they ellaborate the best illustrator and pile them up in 3 sick days, last 18-21 september. lots of people came and at one spot, there were one spot where everybody get to doodle live, and the best get these fantastico tumbler! you could actually order their lovely merchandise here.

It's a shame I couldn't attend this fab event, but eventually i got this!!! Flawless illustration by Diela Maharanie (i love her!). now i can sip my coffee stylishly!

i thank god for so many inspiring cool and talented people all over the world. i know it's selfish, but i feel motivated. once i saw their blog of article or whatever-ness, they made me wanna grab my pencil and paper. and start to swag on it.

so, in ode to these cool people, i made illustrations of them. this is probably my way of how much i appreciate them. she is one of them. diana rikasari.

she's probably the sickest fashion-blogger 'slash' young-enterpreneur 'slash-again' full time dreamcatcher in this country! the last one really represents her, coz when she had a dream, she put in in her blog. and when it is put, she is deadly serious to seize it. so yeah! she rocks!

speaking of inspiration, there will be an inspiring weekend for women. it's 9 to 9 Ladies Festival Surabaya at town's most lovely Majapahit Hotel. There will be so many classes, workshops, runways and of course, shopping scene! i will be leading drawing workshop on one of the classes. this is my first, so it will be awkward and fun for you to see :3

hi hello holla back!!! been a while after a long ied ul fitr holiday, the works has been so cute to me lately :3. aside of the new exciting office projects (yes! i love my job, finally!), i have so much things ordered during recess. Not to mention for this one amazing person's birthday, Jessica Na. People on the office plans to give presents that contains all of our faces. And i'm honored! The deadline was so leather-pants tight, but i made it less than 8 hours for these 5 pillows.

well, well, well. it's always been busy weeks for a full-timer office worker and in-betweener. but these days, i tell you, it's really really tight packed. the work has gone mad, with so many clients to pitch, while i need to make submissions for contest and exhibition.

i know u probably think i'm lame, but this busy-ness really flashes my days. it did. it's good to go home from routine, and think about 'what should i made today' on the way home. so it made me feel slightly alive. not to mention the gladness of having some appreciating new friends, new community and new chances. i'm kinda addicted on doing things and make sure i have progress.

speaking of new friend, there's one deadly talented illustrator and bacon addicted, Nani. knowing a great young artist share the same nationality does feel great. coz there not much of those. check out her amazing blog and aww.

yesterday, my workmate told me about charity bazaar for early next month. we get to sell anything we like, with 60 great shops. my goofy-good friend, pinkan and I will be there to share store with loads of handmade stuff. it means, there will be a lot of cushion cases, tote bags, t-shirts yada-yada-yada. so if you're in (or apparently will be in) surabaya, come to our shop and join all the good-deeders.

amongst all the bad things happened here, nature is probably the only good thing world sees in Indonesia. Bali is classical reason where people all the way around the world come to get tan. astonishing sunset/sunrise, the wholesome wave curls, and beautiful-skin people. there is no way not to keepsake them in a great backpack.

Louie just turned 1 last week.

He was first a friend of mine’s, Iqi, which had to go study to other city. He only had one pet-vacancy to go with him, he took Skipper (louie’s brother) with him, and gave up the rest. So, yeah. that’s how i got this furbeing.

he’s a little sick now. he got lump on his neck, and a warm scar on his eye lid. despite of his quirky and macho attitude, he’s momma’s little boy <3

a wedding, a funeral and a birthday.
been so busy, i hardly remember it's weekend. it's my cousin's wedding and been a heavy-hectic javanese procession, but ended up beautifully. congratulation for putri and david, be very happy and make tons of babies.

as i mention a funeral, my very-very best-friend's mother passed away, yesterday. so sad, i cannot say anything, except just to hope everyone's alright.
today is the burial day, it was very emotional, of course, as she is a very nice person. as losing a person to love and loved us is barely unfair, it's better to be stout at heart and say endless good thing about them. because that's what everybody wants to be remembered as. *hugs tantru*

today's my dad's birthday. and this is what i made for a most profoundly musical person...

yes, it's another hand-painted cushion case, one of series i did for the whole week. i feel slightly selfish, but he loved it. very much. and it's more than enough. happy birthday dad!!!!!!

and speaking of which, one of my idol-illustrator complimented and seem to be interested on one of my work. which is going apparel very soon. it feels so good it become the perfect closure event for the weekend.

This post was meant to be my nagging post. So, whomever objects, may press the x button above. Go ahead I don’t care.

But for those who care, I simply am seeking for agree-comrades about how hard it is to have a well clean living in our own house. I mean, these prices these days!!!! I mean, its extremely gazzilionly hard to find a decent cheap stuff. Seriously.

I mean, I’m starting a new life here. We’re renting a common, non-special but well-fitted house for us to initiate our own household. But… GOD. How am I going to start it if I cannot find a kitchen paper holder for under 50Ks.

i mean, cmon. I don’t really want that Nicole Richie’s way of life. I just want to live convenient in a little house that has all of our needs. Basic needs (which is, of course, with patterns and colored linens, and stuff).

It’s been two weeks. And we’re moving in first day of august.

I dunno what I’ve been through, but I feel tired everyday. Being grumpy, it’s exhausting. I didn’t even pack yet.

It’ hard to ask. But, seriously. I don’t feel married enough. Is this normal?

here i am. a few hours left from my beauty sleep. a few hours away to my akad. and a few hours left to be single.
ohmigod, i wish i had so much thing to do, so that i'd distract my butt away of being.... confused.

speaking of diversion, hours after i heard news about friend's death, one of my office branch is swept by fire. all burnt. :(
so sad, and it ate my thoughts for couple of hours. and then i snapped back to my confussion. marriage.

i mean, of course i am happy, (kiddn me?!) marrying him is the best decision (and bravest) thing i've ever decide.
i feel so relax, it made me panic. i mean, should i be in horrific tension?!

putting aside of everything, i really hope thing goes well.
i don't care bout the party and all the glamorous (of chaos) thingy we're on in the evening, except for the rain.
i just want a simple, smooth akad. i'm sure memi will NOT stutter.

the thing is, i really don't care all. i just want us to be together.
we're done by the illegal, so this time... is going to be legit :)

okay, the first prosession is done.
a lot of tante-tante pengajian came to my house. sent lots of prayers for my upcoming event, and also my beloved granny. may she rest in peacer life.

supposedly, we're prisoner of our own parents, but memi made a way to sneak out of his house, and meet up at my place. it was only 2minutes. but, god. it's THE husband. only 2 days away.
today, i got scolded by my make-up artist. he said that i'm being difficult by wanting simple thing T,T

- i don't want to hide my chubby cheek. i mean, it's totally undeniable. so leave em be!

ok. it's over. this is the last day i met memi.
the next time i met him, he'll be sitting in front of my dad, shaking his hand, asking permission on taking me away from their house :D

my god. it's just 3days away.

we had another meeting, and this time with the MC, lovely micha (along with her hubby, her mom and dad). yes, the same person who happily surender 3 furbeings. honestly, i feel i had a bigger heart on the chaos-to-be of the rundowns, coz suddenly, the famous uncle is coming and deciding on doing 'planned spontaneous' stunts.
and yes, i feel scared with the 'what-ifs' question.
but, somehow. just somehow. i feel so much more... confident.

the man is getting sicker. he had higher fever than the day before. it was my fault we didn't get to the doctor immediately. plus this sunday, we had stacks of things to do.
i had to go to the primper, early in the morning, coz we had a photo shoot in the afternoon. which turned out... regular. hhHH i hate regular. it didn't paid off the thick of that freaking foundation glued to my face.

and then after, we went to rehearse for songs and sort. without memi, of coyrse, coz he's to sicky to participate. *sad* also, me and my whole fams went to fit the drobes for mama and my biggie sister. coz it's less than 2weeks left! *impulsive panic*

got a great news, that the lovely one who own the 3divas, is going to be the MC for THE day! uber yay! :))

was just got home from sundy's wedding. it was phat, meeting lots and lots of old college friends. god, i miss them alot. plus it's the first time we really showed up in OUR friend's wedding as a couple. so it was... lil bit awkward. still, fun.

btw, memi's sick. :'( he got high fever and cold. and so it happens tomorrow pretty much packed-schedule day.
i hope things got better. i hope he'll got better.

this is the last 3 friday we've been into before D-day. it was actually nothing much happened today.
except we score so many kodak moment in the dark room. so it's pretty exciting.
the job gone so mad. *translation : the boss* i just wish i could be in my off-day early, and get married, and go back there to resign. and start my new new life.

oh! and so i've bought one, JUST one accessory for pokemonDS. glass case. worthy worthy. :D

he's back! yay! it was like a dream *halah*
part that i'm late coz of traffic jam, and he's already out with HUUUUGE baggage.. he's back!
i was so happy, i even touched his face as if he's just an odd panoramic illusion XD.
at first i felt so guilty, coz his job is not quite done yet. but the freaking time is frustatingly ticking, and so he has got to leave his friend, his good loyal friend, wahyu, and flew back to sub.but guess what, he's happy to be back.

and the invitations are done!!! the result is great, some of them are quite a mess, so we've ot to send them back to the printings.
Hopefully during friday, we could send them away. there are stacks of them ^^
